| Agent of the Republic
The agents of the republic are a group of fanatical loyalists. Often comprised of ex-soldiers and Demerian patriots, they constitute a formidable militia that operates on the borders of legality.
| Andelian guard
Clad in chainmail armor and bearing a longsword by his side, the Andelian guard is the main enforcer of law in Svorinn’s capital.
| Andelian Thug
Andelia is a city teeming with crime. Whether associated with the local thieves’ guild or operating on their own, these individuals are best avoided.
| Aurelius Fortius
A lieutenant of the Demerian army and former captain of the Andelian guardsmen, Aurelius is a commanding figure.
| Black Chamber Officer
Raynald is an officer working for the Black Chamber. He has short, brown hair, a clean-shaven chin, sharp cheekbones and a small scar over his left eyebrow. He seems to be a heavy smoker. His demeanor is polite and cold.
This remarkable animal has served as a loyal beast of budren since the first days of civilization.
| Infantryman (Legion IX)
The Infantryman is the rank-and-file soldier of Legion IX. He boasts superior training and equipment than most guards deployed during peacetime.
| Juggernaut (Legion IX)
Protected by heavy armor and carrying a tower shield, these soldiers are known as Juggernauts. Slow and less skillful with the blade than their fellow legionnaires, they are nevertheless surprisingly durable and frustratingly difficult to kill.
| Knight (Legion IX)
Only the wealthiest and the most skilled soldiers of Legion IX serve in the legion’s cavalry. They are often used to eliminate enemy infantry, a task at which they excel at.
| Marksman (Legion IX)
The marksmen of Legion IX pride themselves in never missing with a longbow.
| Maxentius (Andelian Guardsmen)
An Andelian guardsman by trade, Maxentius is Aurelius Fortius’ right-hand man and the leader of approximately twenty Andelian guardsmen. There are accusations of corruption regarding himself and his men.
| Pikeman (Legion IX)
The legions’ pikemen constitute one of the least trained, and therefore most expendable, unit. Nevertheless, they are invaluable when it comes to defending against enemy cavalry.
A pony can serve as a beast of burden or a mount for smallfolk, such as gnomes or halflings.
| Warhorse, Heavy (Legion IX)
Man’s second best friend, a horse may sometimes see service in the Demerian army.
A bulky, bald man who is missing an eye, he nevertheless seems fairly articulate for an enforcer. He keeps a collection of heads in large, formaldehyde-containing jars in his basement and serves as a henchman for Raynald, an officer of the Black Chamber.
