Once the daughter of the Lord of House Savain and Grey Keep, Elana was robbed of her lofty nobility when her parents were killed in a fire while she was a child. Her uncle, Mannix, assumed the lordship; he was not unkind, but he bore no love for his niece.
Elana grew up well educated, as befit a lady, and was very beautiful. Despite her court centered life style, her best friends were commoners and low born, with the exception of her cousin, Mannix’s son, Lucius.
She developed sorcerous powers as a teen, and while she was fascinated by her talent, she kept the secret hidden, lest she be banished from her House.
One day Mannix threw one of Elana’s low-born friends, Griff, into a prison-like monastery in an attempt to clean up her public image. She did not take the news well and let loose an out burst of sorcerous magic. Mannix isolated her afterwards, releasing her shortly with news that she was to be wed to the heir of House Amour.
Shipped out from Grey Keep to Andelia, Elana met with her fiance, Jules, who she learned harbored the same resentment towards the marriage that she did.
Kind and thoughtful, considerate of others, Elana often sticks out like a sore thumb when paired against the rogueish Jules and the uncouth Caithas. Perhaps, odd pairing though they may be, Elena is most like her new friend, soldier and confidant, Malcom. The guard is a family man and honorable, always striving to be on the right side; it is a struggle Elana knows well.
If only she knew which side the right one was.
